Privacy Policy

This preliminary template describes how BimmerWorth intends to handle personal information. The current site is a frontend prototype: it has no backend, no database and no analytics, and it does not collect or transmit any information you enter.

Template revised

1. Current data practices

At this stage of development, BimmerWorth collects nothing. The valuation form runs entirely in your browser, no data is submitted to a server, no account system exists, and no analytics or advertising trackers are installed.

Anything entered into the prototype is discarded when you close or reload the page.

2. Information we expect to collect later

When the platform becomes functional, it is expected to process the following categories of information. Each will be documented specifically before it is introduced.

  • Vehicle information you supply, such as year, model, specification, mileage, condition and history.
  • Approximate location, such as a ZIP code, used to reflect regional demand.
  • Optional photographs, if you choose to upload them.
  • Account details, if account creation is introduced.
  • Standard technical information such as IP address and browser type, as generated by ordinary web server operation.

3. How information would be used

The intended purposes are to produce and explain a valuation, to improve the accuracy of the valuation methodology, and to operate and secure the service.

BimmerWorth does not intend to sell personal information. Any change to that position would require an updated policy and, where applicable, your consent.

4. Third-party services

The completed platform is expected to rely on third-party infrastructure providers for hosting, database storage and related processing. Those providers will be named specifically in the reviewed version of this policy, together with the basis on which data is shared with them.

5. Retention

Retention periods have not been determined. The reviewed policy will state how long each category of information is kept and how deletion can be requested.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to complain to a supervisory authority.

Because BimmerWorth does not currently collect personal information, there is at present nothing to exercise those rights against. The reviewed policy will set out how to make a request.

7. Children

BimmerWorth is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age at which consent is required in their jurisdiction.

8. Changes to this template

This document will be replaced in full by a professionally reviewed privacy policy before launch. Until then it should be treated as a structural placeholder only.
